Lockle is designed with privacy in mind. Gameplay happens entirely on your device, and we don't operate any servers that store information about you. Lockle does show optional rewarded ads delivered by Google AdMob — see the "Advertising" section below for details.
Your puzzle progress, streak count, win statistics, settings, and other gameplay state are stored locally on your device using Apple's standard storage APIs (UserDefaults). This data is not transmitted externally. If you delete the app, this data is removed with it.
The app includes an optional sharing feature. When you choose to share your result, the app generates an image of your finished game and passes it to your device's system share sheet. You control where it is sent. The app does not receive, store, or track shared content.
Lockle uses Google AdMob to show optional rewarded ads. These appear only when you choose to watch one in exchange for an extra game — never during play, never as banners, and never as unskippable interstitials.
When an ad is shown, Google's SDK may collect technical information needed to deliver and measure the ad, such as your device type, operating system, language, and a per-device identifier. If you grant tracking permission (the "Allow tracking" prompt shown by iOS), Google may also use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) to personalize ads. If you decline tracking, ads will still work — they'll just be less personalized.
For details on what Google collects and how it is used, see Google's Advertising Policy and Google's Privacy Policy.
You can change your tracking choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Lockle offers an optional one-time purchase ("Unlock Lockle") that removes the daily play limit. All purchases are handled directly by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. Lockle never sees or stores your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details. The app only receives a confirmation from Apple that the purchase was completed, which is stored locally on your device to unlock the feature.
For details on how Apple handles your purchase data, please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy.
If a future version of Lockle integrates with Game Center, the app may use Apple's Game Center services to support leaderboards or sync progress across your devices. Any such communication occurs directly between your device and Apple. Lockle does not send Game Center data to any third-party server.
Lockle is built using Apple's native frameworks plus one third-party SDK:
Lockle is suitable for all ages. We do not collect personal data from any user. Rewarded ads served by Google AdMob are configured to comply with Google's family-friendly content policies. Purchases require Apple's standard parental approval flow when set up on the device.
If this policy changes, updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date. We will not retroactively reduce your privacy rights without clear notice.
